When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. A blueberry lemonade would be even better.

As the days grow warmer and the sun shines brighter, there's nothing quite like a refreshing drink to cool off and relax your mood. In the realm of summertime libations, few concoctions match the taste and simplicity of Blueberry Lemonade. Bursting with the zesty flavor of lemon and the tangy sweetness of ripe blueberries, this cocktail is a fusion of summer flavors that will leave you craving for more.

This is my go-to summer drink. It is perfect to serve at a backyard barbeque or pool side on a hot day. It is easy to make, and everyone is always asking for more. I like to serve it in a cute mason jar that SCREAMS summer simplicity. The Ball Heritage Collection Pint Jars are hard to get but there are plenty of similar mason jars out there for a lot less money.

The Best Summer Drink Recipe: Blueberry Lemonade

Blueberry Lemonade Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients:

• 6 oz lemonade

• 1 oz blueberry flavored vodka

• handful of blueberries

• ice

Directions:

1. Add lemonade, blueberry vodka, blueberries, and ice to a cocktail shaker.

2. Shake well.

3. Pour into a sugar rimmed glass. Regular sugar is fine, but a lemon or berry flavored sugar will take it up a notch.

4. Garnish with a lemon slice.
   

Notes:

You can use a powdered lemonade mix like Country Time Lemonade, premade lemonade, or make your own lemonade with fresh squeezed lemons and simple syrup. You can make this recipe as simple or as complex as you want.
